Hi there, I'm Amelie
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Zürich, Switzerland.
Some years back, my family and I moved here. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter in life abroad.
How It Started
Relocating to Switzerland wasn't part of the grand plan. Like many international moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more intricate than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and a lot of learning on the fly. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt secure.
Why I Built DawnMeadowPark
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Switzerland.
